8.4 Logger Installation Depth

Properly estimate the minimum and maximum water levels expected during the monitoring period. As it measures height of water above the sensor, the logger needs to be installed so it remains submerged at all times. However, the logger should not be installed deep enough to touch the bottom of a well or channel (avoid submergence in sediments).

Maximum submergence depth must also remain within its specified range throughout the monitoring period. The pressure transducer can be damaged, if the logger is over-pressurized by submerging it below its intended range. The LevelVent and AquaVent loggers are warranted up to 200% of their full scale range, however, accuracy can not be guaranteed beyond full scale.
