8.2.2 Installing AquaVent in 2" Well

The Support Hanger Bracket is used to secure the Vented Cable to the Wellhead when deployed.

The support system consists of the 2" well cap base and the Support Hanger Bracket (both come with the Wellhead). To accommodate 4" wells, an adaptor is available for use with the 2" well cap base.

Note:

A 2" Well Cap Assembly comes with each AquaVent Wellhead. Only the base of the assembly is needed to install the Support Hanger Bracket. The cap can be used later to seal a well, if the AquaVent Wellhead is removed.

The steps below show how to install the AquaVent using the Support Hanger Bracket in a 2" well:

Install the well cap base on the well casing.

Wrap the top end of the Vented Cable around the Support Hanger Bracket and insert into the cutouts to secure the cable to the bracket. Leave about 2" of slack in the cable above the top of the Support Hanger Bracket.

Note:

Providing enough slack in the Vented Cable at surface allows you to lift the AquaVent Wellhead from the well cap base to access the Vented Cable connection, or record manual depth to water measurements, without disturbing the AquaVent 5 logger from its down hole position.

Note:

The holes in the bracket can accommodate twist ties or zip ties to secure the cable to the bracket if desired.

Connect the other end of the Vented Cable to the AquaVent 5 logger. See section 1.5.1 for more details. Lower the Vented Cable with logger down the well.

Note:

For diagnostic purposes, you may wish to install the end of the Vented Cable with the serial number, to the Wellhead connection at surface.

Lower the Support Hanger bracket into the well until it seats on the shoulder in the well cap base.

Note:

There are three holes in the top of the Support Hanger Bracket that can be used to secure it in the well cap base with screws.

Connect the Vented Cable to the Wellhead. See Section 1.5.1 for more details. Take a manual depth to water measurement for your records.

Carefully push the excess Vented Cable down the well. Twist the Wellhead onto the well cap base until it seats.

Note:
