Solinst Leveloggers Vital in Lithuania's Water Conservation Efforts
Solinst Leveloggers have played an important role in Lithuania's water conservation and management efforts for a number of years. Since 2005, they have been a part of their National Groundwater Monitoring Network. More recently, Leveloggers are being used for surface water monitoring projects including ecological flow and discharge estimation programs, and wetland monitoring for habitat conservation efforts.

NEW Solinst 101D Water Level DrawDown Meter
Solinst is pleased to release the NEW Model 101D Water Level DrawDown Meter. The 101D Water Level DrawDown Meter combines two convenient tools into one—it has all the same features as our Model 101 P7 Water Level Meter, with the added benefit of a new drawdown function.
The 101D is excellent for measuring depth to water in a number of applications, and for indicating falling hydraulic head during low flow sampling, purging, and aquifer testing. One simple control switches between static water level and drawdown modes.

Hydrophobic Filters: How They Work For Solinst Vented Dataloggers
Solinst has designed the LevelVent and AquaVent vented water level dataloggers with permanent hydrophobic filters, making use of the filters' unique characteristics to improve the long-term performance of the instruments. To keep the vented cables free from moisture, these filters were selected as an alternative to consumable desiccants. In our technical bulletin, we discuss where the filters are located and how they provide moisture protection for the lifetime of the instruments—no replacements required.

Solinst Water Level Meter Helps Characterize Habitat of Endangered Snake
Solinst recently donated a Model 102M Mini Water Level Meter to aid a study characterizing the critical subsurface habitat of the Endangered Gray Ratsnake. The Water Level Meter was used to measure the depth to groundwater in a number of monitoring wells that were installed at known hibernation sites. Other parameters monitored included frost depth, groundwater temperature, and underground air temperature. Overall, the investigation will will provide insight into what features make up an effective hibernation site and assist in future expansion and development of suitable habitats.

Solinst Proud to Support Water For Life's Well Drilling Efforts in Haiti
Water For Life in Haiti is a non-profit organization that has been providing safe freshwater supplies to rural communities for over 30 years. Recently, Solinst donated three Model 102 Water Level Meters to help with their well drilling and pump installation projects.
These Water Level Meters were first used in the village of Malette, Camp Perrin Haiti, where a drinking water well was installed for the village. Solinst Water Level Meters were used to monitor water levels during installation and helped ensure the proper placement of the hand pump.
