3.3 Assigning Dataloggers to Remote Station

Note:

If you are connecting a Rainlogger to your System, you must program (Edit) the Rainlogger in order to enter a Rainfall Calibration Constant (the amount of rainfall per tip of the connected rain gauge).

Note:

The firmware versions shown in red for each Levelogger, are the Firmware Versions that will work with STS Software Version 1.4.0.

The Levelogger Setup window allows you to enter the type of datalogger that will be connected to each of the four positions on the STS Gold Distribution Box. After selecting the datalogger type from the drop down menu, an image of the selected datalogger will be displayed.

Note:

Dataloggers can be programmed using the STS Gold Software to record and store readings in their internal, non-volatile memory, providing reliable back-up data. This will, however, cause their internal battery to be used up more quickly.

If there are not four dataloggers connected, select “NONE” from the drop-down menu for each of the positions on the Distribution Box with no datalogger connected. Initialization will not be successful if a datalogger type is selected, but is not physically attached to the Distribution Box.

To optionally set each datalogger to record in their internal memory, select Edit to begin entering data collection information.

You must Edit the Rainlogger in order to enter a Rainfall Calibration Constant, but you do not have to set it to record independently.

Select Next, without editing, if you do not want to set your Leveloggers to record independently.
